Cationic dye is the special dye acrylonitrile nylon fiber, the dyeing method is in the weak acidity (pH 4.5) of the tub, with acetate and sodium acetate as buffering agent, in the presence of dielectric and a moderate amount of fertilizer, near boiling dyeing. The dyeing mechanism can be divided into three stages:

(1) the dyes in the bath are attached to the surface of the fibers.
(2) the dye is diffused from the surface of the fiber to the interior.
(3) the dye cation binds with the anionic group of the fibers.

In normal dyeing conditions, the final step of salt is an irreversible reaction, which can lead to high fastness and uneven dyeing. The first two steps are quick, the second is slow, and it determines the entire rate of staining.
