It is colorless, odorless, non-volatile, insoluble in water, methanol, ethylene glycol, but soluble to benzene, dimethyl ether, methyl ethyl ketone, carbon tetrachloride or kerosene.It has a very small steam pressure, higher flash point and ignition point. Methyl silicone oil has excellent heat resistance, electrical insulation, hydrophobic, physiological inertia and small surface tension. It also has low viscosity temperature coefficient and higher compressive resistance.
